Mekkorát nőtt ez a gyerek! - My, you have grown!

Ehhez hasonló mondatokat biztosan sokan hallottunk gyerekkorunkban nagynéniktől, szomszéd bácsiktól...de nekem is ez jutott eszembe, mikor a gyerekek őszi-téli ruháit kipakolva ehhez hasonló képek tárultak elém:

I am sure that as kids we all heard sentences like these from aunts and neighbors...but I also thought about this as I was unpacking the kids' fall-winter clothes and scenes as this one awaited me:

Talán nem kéne nekik ennyit enni adni?! :))

New guy - Új fiú

A few weeks ago we discovered that we have a new family member in the yard.
Néhány hete észrevettük, hogy a kertünkben van egy új családtag.

We have never seen such a guy in Hungary. Maybe some biologist reader out there can identify it for us?
Még sosem láttunk ilyen fickót Magyarországon. Talán van köztetek egy biológus olvasó, aki azonosítani tudná?

Bro and sis - Tesók

Maybe partly due to going to pre-school together, but these two have become really good friends recently! (Save the bickering, teasing and screaming of course... :)

Talán részben a közös óvodai élményeknek köszönhetően, de ők ketten mostanában nagyon jóban vannak! (Leszámítva persze a veszekedést, a cukkolást és a sikítozást... :)

Teeth - Fogak

One exciting event around here has been Benjamin losing teeth! :) His first one started wiggling at the end of summer. Of course he wanted it out, so big brother came to the rescue!

Egy izgalmas esemény házunk táján mostanában, hogy Benjámin hullajtja a fogait! :) Az első a nyár végén kezdett mozogni. Persze nagyon szerette volna, ha kiesik, így a nagy tesó segítségére sietett!

And out it came!/És kint van!

Believe it or not, the second one came out with the legendary "tie a string and shut the door" method. We had thought that this only happens in fairy tales, but indeed, after a few tries with a string and then with a fishing line, we were successful! :)

Képzeljétek, a második fog a legendás "köss rá cérnát és csapd be az ajtót" módszerrel jött ki. Addig azt hittük, hogy ez csak a mesében történik meg, de tényleg, egy pár próbálkozás után először cérnával majd damillal, sikeresek voltunk! :)

Harvest festival - Szüreti mulatság

Our area and the pre-school Benjamin and Miriam go to have a lot of German heritage customs. One of them is the harvest festival, which we all participated in. The kids did a little performance, so they were all dressed up. Here is our handsome gentleman and pretty maiden:

A városrészünk egy sváb település volt és Benjámin és Miriam is német nemzetiségi oviba járnak. Az egyik népszokás a szüreti mulatság, amiben mindannyian részt vettünk. Mivel a gyerekek szerepeltek is, szépen kiöltöztek. Íme a mi fess fiatalemberünk és csinos menyecskénk:

And here is a snapshot of the performance, them singing, "Guten tag, tanz mit mir!" or something like that. Can you tell that Miriam is loving it? :)

És íme egy felvétel a fellépésről, amikor éneklik, hogy: "Guten tag, tanz mit mir!" vagy valami hasonló. Látszik, hogy Miriam mennyire élvezi? :)

Back to school

Bizony, elkezdődött az iskola, óvoda! Miriam most ment oviba, Benjáminnal jár vegyes csoportba és nagyon szereti! Hála Istennek egy könnycsepp sem volt a beszoktatásnál, nagyon készen állt a nagy kalandra! :)

Yes, school started here almost a month ago! Miriam went to pre-school this year. She is in the same group with Benjamin and she is loving it! Not a tear was shed during the first days; she was ready for this adventure! :)
