The area where we live used to be inhabited by a German-speaking minority group, and there are lots of traditions connected to that. Oliver goes to a German heritage pre-school, which for him means that he hums along a few songs and rhymes (we would never want him to be "taught" a foreign language at this age), but for many adults, these traditions mean a lot. This weekend the big event was the harvest festival, where our family took part for the first time (well it was actually just the boys, as we had a women's fellowship afternoon at church at the same time, but my hubby was kind enough to document the event for me). Here is the report:
Olivérnek ünneplőben kellett mennie, ami persze azt jelentette, hogy Benjámin is kicsiccsentette magát (a ruhák az amcsi nagymami szülinapi ajándékai voltak). Ki tudna ellenállni ennek a két fess fiatalembernek? :)
Oliver had to dress up for the occassion, which of course meant that Benjamin put on his formal clothes too (thanks for the birthday gift outfits, Grandma Carol! :) Who could resist these two handsome gentlemen? :)

I love these pictures. They are so handsome. Looks like a great celebration. Love the ladies dresses too.
